Yoga With April Core Monthly Classes
βAprilβ¦ youβre everywhere and you do everything!β
Thatβs what I hear most often from my local Phoenix pals β and even from those watching (or flowing) from afar.
For anyone who might be a little confused, people are usually referring to the diverse range of yoga classes and community events I host around the Phoenix and Scottsdale area.
So I finally thought to myself⦠I should probably make a blog post that covers all of my monthly classes hosted around The Valley.
Itβs been such a joy to build, grow, move, and meet so many incredible humans. Many of whom have become real-life friends. Maybe Iβll even meet you one day.
Without further ado, here are my monthly yoga classes hosted at local businesses near Phoenix, Arizona.
Mellow Movement at Monsoon Market
First of all⦠IKYKY, okay?
This class is truly my heart and soul wrapped into one. I love everything about it.
Mellow Movement at Monsoon Market is my longest-running monthly yoga event and one of the very first local partnerships I ever created. <33 If youβre unfamiliar, Monsoon Market is a local wine and snack shop filled with thoughtfully curated items, delicious drinks, and the best vibes.
So what is Mellow Movement?
Itβs a 45-minute (mostly) mellow flow that typically begins around 9:00 AM (ish). After class, we get the special opportunity to shop the market before the doors officially open. Owners Misch and Koral are absolute gems and often hang out with us, making the experience feel extra personal and welcoming.
Weβre also usually spoiled with snacks and sips from Monsoon Market and if weβre really lucky, weβll get a surprise visit from Van Friendly Donuts (always one of the best days). Her vegan, gluten-free, and nut-free donuts have become some of my all-time favorite local treats.
Basically, some of the best people, places, and snacks come together to make this class pure magic.
What can you expect?
A welcoming, inclusive experience. This class is always suited for all levels, and youβre encouraged to move at your own pace. Itβs very much a βwelcome homeβ kind of vibe.
Who comes to this class?
New friends, old friends, locals, visitors, you name it. We have our beloved Monsoon regulars and almost always a new face or two flowing with us each month. Wherever youβre coming from, youβll be met with open arms.

Puppy Yoga with Almost There Rescue
Where do I even begin? Puppies AND yoga. A literal dream.
As a lifelong dog lover with my own rescue baby at home, this class was a no-brainer. When I first moved to Phoenix, I knew I wanted to partner with like-minded local organizations. As a social worker at heart, I made it a goal to host a class that gives back at least once a month.
Cue: Almost There Rescue.
We began partnering through puppy yoga classes where all proceeds go directly back to the rescue, supporting their incredible mission while surrounding ourselves with puppy love.

Dazed & Infused Yoga
To truly know me at my core⦠you must attend Dazed & Infused Yoga (formerly Medicated Movement, who remembers the OG days?!.
Letβs keep it real: this is a cannabis-infused yoga class, and yes itβs as good as it sounds. This class sells out in under four days most months. The people know. Hereβs the vibe:
Class starts around 7pm and wraps up at 8pm. There is not a down dog insight. Well, unless you want it. I guide you though some of the exact movements or poses I find when Iβm enjoying my own, personal cannabis class. Mmmm. So we play vibey music, turn down the lights, shut down the eyes, and just BE. With a little help from our gal, Mary Jane.
Classes are held at WeightRoom, a downtown Phoenix gym with immaculate vibes. Shoutout to Bo, Jake, and Daze Off Cannabis for always spoiling us. Whatβs included with your $25 ticket? Yoga flow, One pre-roll joint, surprise goodies depending on the month (vapes, snacks, goodie bags, extra joints, and more.)
We aim for once a month, usually on a Wednesday.

Dazed & Infused = the beeβs knees.
Bends, Brews & Bagels at The Joylush Club
A few of my favorite things? A cozy local bar and a really good craft beer.
Enter: The Joylush Club.
Growing up in Michigan, and living in Grand Rapids during my undergrad and grad life I definitely loved a nice, hoppy beer! I actually had to learn to love craft beer (lol) I was not a fan of the taste at first. Finally after trying enough and finding my preference, I live for trying, talking, and tasting new craft beers.
Weβre just lucky enough that they introduced me to Dewey's bagels. His bagels are off the chart! Freshly made sourdough bread and homemade cream cheese. Itβs the best way to end class! So how does this all work? Well, Iβm glad you asked.
We aim for one Sunday a month and class starts at 10am. This is another all levels yoga flow and we do build up the heat a bit! A very grounded sequence, linking breath to movement. Plenty of breaks in between and a long savasana waiting for you at the end.
Your $35 ticket includes:
Yoga class
One beer from Joylush
One bagel from Dewey
Donβt drink alcohol? No problem at all. Joylush offers great N/A options like N/A beer, iced coffee, flavored water, and more.
β¨ Space for everyone here.
And There You Have It
So there it is my friends. My core monthly classes. Keeping me going, keeping you going. These are absolutely some of my favorite classes and I love any and every opportunity I get to have connecting with you all in real LIFE. Not only connecting once, but keeping in touch, seeing the growth, and celebrating life with you.
I think it is so cool and powerful that we get to support locals this way too. I have always been about local love and understand how important it is for the community. Local places and people ARE the heartbeat of the community.
Thank you for being here, and for your support.
